Building the Perfect Royal Rumble

#29: Edge(2010)

These last two entrants are saved for two of the biggest moments in the Royal Rumble’s storied history.

Edge was injured heading into the 2010 match and no one had the Rated R Superstar on their radar. However, when it was time for the #29 entry to come out, Edge’s music hit and the audience couldn’t believe it. He only needed seven minutes and two eliminations to take home the crown, but it was a fantastic moment that will be remembered for years to come.

Honorable Mention: Brock Lesnar(2003)

#30: John Cena(2008)

Edge wasn’t the first person to return from injury before he was expected. Just two years earlier in 2008, John Cena returned months ahead of schedule after tearing his pectoral muscle. Madison Square Garden erupted and the wrestlers in the ring were in complete shock to see who was stepping through the curtain at #30. Cena eliminated HHH to win the Royal Rumble and would send the fans home wondering what they had just witnessed.

Honorable Mentions: Undertaker(2007), HHH(2016)
