#6: Kane(2001)
The Big Red Machine holds the record for most eliminations with 44 so there had to be a spot in this match for Kane even though he never actually won the entire thing. Before Roman Reigns recently broke his record, Kane held the record for most eliminations in a single Royal Rumble when he eliminated 11 superstars from the #6 position in the 2001 match. He was eventually eliminated by Stone Cold after making it the final two so #6 seems like the perfect spot to have Kane come to the ring.
Honorable Mention: Beth Phoenix(2010)
#7: Diesel(1994)
Following Kane, would be another mammoth of a human being in Diesel. Diesel has had a couple good showings in the Royal Rumble including the 1994 match that saw him enter at #7 and eliminate 7 men in just 17 minutes of action. Not only that, it took four huge superstars in Bam Bam Bigelow, Crush, Mabel and Thurman Plugg to toss out Big Daddy Cool.
Honorable Mentions: John Morrison(2011), Braun Strowman(2017)
#8: Randy Orton(2009)
Sometimes in the Royal Rumble match, it all comes down to strategy. In 2009, Randy Orton might have had the best strategy ever executed in the history of the contest. He entered at #8 and with the help of his buddies Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes, who entered at #10 and #15 respectively, he was able to find himself in the final four along with the rest of The Legacy. Teammates seemingly always end up turning on each other when it comes to the Royal Rumble, but Orton used his stablemates to his advantage making him the ideal fit for the #8 position.
Honorable Mention: Bobby Lashley(2006)
